2023 Day of Caring

Day of Caring is a United Way Worldwide initiative to promote local volunteerism, support nonprofit human service organizations and demonstrate the power of a generous community uplifting one another. Each spring, teams of community-minded volunteers are matched with one of United Way of Baldwin County's nonprofit member agencies in need of extra hands.

United Way of Baldwin County is hosting our Day of Caring event this year on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 9am to noon

Projects include:

FULL Ruff Wilson Youth Center- Daphne- Cleaning and mopping the front lobby, kitchen, and classrooms 

FULL South Baldwin Literacy Council- Foley- Book sorting

Feeding the Gulf Coast- Theodore - Food sorting

Home of Grace for Women- Eight Mile- Painting porches and rocking chairs, working in flower beds, possible pressure washing

FULL Goodwill- Spanish Fort- Stuffing backpacks with educational supplies for summer learning for preschoolers

Throughout Baldwin County, businesses utilize Day of Caring as an opportunity to engage employees in team building and morale-boosting activities.
